Insecticides are used in agriculture to treat crops from harmful insects. Treatment helps to destroy or prevent pests that have already appeared. Consider the work of the "Break" insecticide, its formula, how quickly it works, the rules for using the pesticide. How to work with the drug, compatibility with other agricultural products, storage conditions and insecticide substitutes.

Active ingredient, release form and purpose of the drug

"Break" is a microemulsion produced by the manufacturer - the "August" company. Poured into 5 liter canisters. The active substance is lambda-cyhalothrin, which is a pyrethroid. The insecticide contains 100 g per 1 liter. According to the method of penetration, "Break" is an intestinal and contact pesticide.

The product protects grains, vegetables, fruit trees, legumes, shrubs and industrial crops from a number of leaf-eating, sucking insects. Protects against ticks.

How the Break insecticide works

Lambda cyhalothrin enters the body of insect pests through the cuticle. The compound acts on the central nervous system, disrupts its work, the insects become disoriented, then stop feeding and die due to paralysis. The death of pests occurs regardless of the stage of development.

Impact rate and period of protective action

The action begins within a few minutes after contact with insects. The microemulsion remains on the surface of leaves and stems of plants, where it continues to protect them due to its bright repelling effect for at least 2 weeks.

Rules for using the product

The tool is used by spraying crops when pests are noticed. Against locusts, treatment is carried out when the larvae appear. Rapeseed is sprayed on seedlings.

The rate of application of the "Break" insecticide (in liters per hectare):

  • wheat and rye - 0.07-1;
  • peas, mustard - 0.05;
  • fruit trees, shrubs, strawberries, onions - 0.15-0.2;
  • non-fruiting gardens - 0.1-0.2;
  • rapeseed, flax, pastures - 0.05-0.07;
  • alfalfa, beets - 0.07;
  • corn - 0.07-1;
  • cabbage, tomatoes - 0.05;
  • grapes - 0.16-0.24.

Consumption of "Break" solution (in liters per hectare):

  • shoots - 100-200;
  • wild vegetation, vegetables, pastures - 200-400;
  • gardens - 800-1500;
  • grapes and berries - 800-1200;
  • strawberries - 300-500.

According to the instructions, the temperature at which the "Break" treatments are carried out is 10-25 ˚С. In case of frost and in hot weather, processing is not done. The waiting period for crops is not the same, on average, it is 20 days, the number of insecticide treatments is 1-2.

Insecticide "Break" is not phytotoxic if the concentration and application rates are observed. To avoid resistance, it should be alternated with insecticidal agents belonging to other groups.

Expert opinion

The agricultural product belongs to the 2nd class of danger for bees and humans. Cannot be applied close to water bodies.

Work during cultivation and spraying in tight protective clothing, wear a respirator or gas mask, protective plastic goggles, rubber gloves. During work, do not remove protective devices, do not drink, do not eat.

After spraying with insecticide, wash your hands and face. If the solution comes into contact with the skin, rinse with water, rinse the eyes with water for 15 minutes. In case of poisoning, you need to wash the stomach: drink activated charcoal with plenty of water and induce vomiting after a few minutes. In case of severe poisoning and severe discomfort, consult a doctor.

Compatibility with other drugs

The pesticide "Break", according to the manufacturer, is compatible with many pesticides. Except for those that have a pronounced alkaline or, conversely, acidic reaction. If the exact compatibility information is not indicated in the instructions, you need to conduct a compatibility test yourself.

To do this, you need to put together a small amount of drugs in a separate container. If they do not interact, then the entire volume can be connected.

How to store an insecticide

The insecticide can be stored for 2 years if the package is not opened. The best storage place is special warehouses for chemicals. The conditions for proper storage are from -20 to +40 C, a dimly lit room with low humidity. You cannot store food, medicine, animal feed in it. After the expiration of the storage period, the "Break" product must be disposed of.

The diluted liquid can only be used and stored for 1 day. Then its effectiveness becomes low. Therefore, it is necessary to dilute the drug only to the extent that it is supposed to be used in 1 working day.
